Matteo’s practice began in Switzerland and developed through Opening, visual culture, artistic research and public-interest projects. Switzerland is the project’s professional and authorial lineage—not a guarantee of funding or institutional endorsement.
Bali is not a backdrop or spiritual certification. It is where the first pilot is being prepared and a future place is being explored. Local relationships, neighbourhood impact, land status, architecture, food, events, employment and hospitality all require Indonesian expertise and formal permission.
A generous circular gathering floor opens onto a same-level outdoor hearth and productive garden. The material study explores industrial clarity: exposed steel, simple concrete and timber, selective Bauhaus-inspired square glazing and open tropical shelter shaped with local expertise. Quiet private rooms branch outward over time. Swiss-inspired modular clarity does not imply that Bauhaus originated in Switzerland. Local builders and growers should shape and receive credit for their own contributions.
