emBaliment is a project initiated by Matteo Fieni. It connects visual culture, shared practice and the study of a future place in Bali. The next step is a carefully scoped pilot with qualified collaborators.

Matteo Fieni / LeMatt

Selamat. C’est Le Matt.

Matteo is a Swiss visual artist and project author based between Bali and Lugano. Trained in analogue photography at IED Milan and later in communication sciences at USI Lugano, he works through images, public situations and cultural infrastructures.

He founded Opening® in 2003 and developed art–science and public-interest work including Camera F, Future Fermentation and Drive Awake. Within emBaliment he holds the word, visual language, programme architecture and public accountability.

Matteo holds creative direction. Architecture, law, safety, finance, cultural review and local permission require independent qualified professionals.
